From September through May, various couples (and singles) get together for a supper in a “host’s” residence on the second Saturday of the month at seven pm. Suppers can be comprised of four, five, or six couples, depending on what the “host” designates for a desired group size. The Hosts responsibilities include having ice and beverages on hand for the opening social, and bread for the table. The Guests bring their appointed dish with serving utensils. If we had questions on what “vegetable/starch/dessert” to bring, we called the couple that was bringing the “meat”. Every month, you are at a different home, enjoying good food with three to five other couples.
